Rules for Myself Concerning Poetry
When breaking the rules of grammar, a poem should never force the reader to reinterpret the rules of the language in use.
Broken rules should serve a purpose and not cause the reader to stumble in the slightest.
Poetry is not a linguistic puzzle for the academic, but a medium for clear and powerful expression.
